PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency ESD protection circuit performing operation without having a bad effect on a high frequency region. SOLUTION: Transmission lines 11 and 12 are connected in series between input terminals 1 and 2 that input differential signals, and both lines have line length that is 1/4 of the wavelength of the input signals. One end of an ESD protection element 13 is connected to a connection node A between the transmission lines 11 and 12, while the other end is connected to a ground terminal GND. The connection node A can be practically regarded as a ground terminal to the differential input signals from the input terminals 1 and 2. Therefore, the impedance of the ESD protection element 13 connected between the connection node A and the actual ground terminal GND becomes almost zero. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
