PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pyrazolyl 5-thio-β-D-glycoside compound controlling IGT (impaired glucose tolerance) by inhibiting an SGLT1 activity selectively to suppress the glucose absorption from digestive tract. SOLUTION: This pyrazolyl 5-thioglycoside compound expressed by formula (I) [wherein, Z is a 1-6C alkyl; R1to R3are each the same or different H or a 1-6C alkyl; (n) is an integer of 1 to 4; and X is hydroxy, -O(1-4C alkylphenyl) or the like], its pharmaceutically acceptable salt or their hydrates are provided.
