PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problems of various room mirrors having respective merits and demerits including a room mirror of a plane mirror which is most widely used among room mirrors for vehicles and is capable of checking distance with a following vehicle with a same distance sense as visual check and has a weak point that its visual field is narrow and a room mirror of a convex mirror for providing a wide visual field which has a weak point that a following vehicle looks smaller and the distance with the following vehicle looks longer than when directly looking with eyes. SOLUTION: In the room mirror 10 for the automobile, a flat mirror part 11 and a mirror face 12 of a convex mirror part positioned at an opposite side of a driver seat (at an end of the flat mirror part 11) form a mirror face which is continuously and smoothly integrated. With the continuously and smoothly integrated mirror face, it is possible to check the distance with a following vehicle with a same distance sense as visual check and possible to see from behind the vehicle to around a side mirror including blind spot at an opposite side of the driver seat.
