PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation apparatus and a calculation program for estimating a metal die life, which can calculate a level of the die wear and the estimated date of the die life precisely and easily without depending upon intuition and experience of skilled workers. SOLUTION: The calculation apparatus 1 for estimating the die life comprises a database unit 5 to memorize metal die information such as a die number 81 and an assured shot number of the die 84a, a control means 7 to calculate the die wear level and the estimated date of the die life based on the metal die information, and a display means 4 to exhibit the calculated wear level of the die or the estimated date of the die life. The control means 7, by executing procedures from the step S104 to S112 referring to the database unit 5, calculates the die wear level and the estimated date of the die life and exhibits them on the display means 4. A user can make a decision of proper and detailed countermeasures about the designated metal die, by referring to the die wear level and the estimated date of the die life.
