The device has an identification unit (14) for automatically identifying signals from a user, where the signals represent operating commands for operating a media player, and for providing the identified signals as data to a controller (15). The identification unit comprises speech detection software for detecting speech command of the user or a lip recognition system for detecting lip movements of the user. The controller interprets the signals from the user and produces a control command for the media player to control the media player based on the interpretation. An independent claim is also included for a method for reproducing an instructional video.
