The invention relates to a wireless or cordless phone, such as cell phone or mobile phone. The phone comprises at least two loudspeakers. The loudspeakers are arranged to function in a handsfree mode and handheld mode respectively. According to the invention at least one of the loudspeakers functions as a microphone in addition to or as a replacement for a dedicated microphone. The loudspeakers are connected to sound input and sound output units through a switching array for arranging the suitable connections according to the different functioning modes.
