SEALING ASSEMBLY

A sealing assembly (10) for sealing between a rotatable hub and a shaft. The sealing assembly (10) comprises a male sealing element (12) and a female sealing element (18). The male sealing element comprises a substantially annular male support element (16) which is substantially U-shaped in cross section with the arms of the U extending axially. The male sealing element further comprises a first inwardly radial sealing lip (14) which is supported on the male support element (16) and is contactable with the shaft. The femal sealing element (18) comprises a substantially annular female support element (22) which is substantially L-shaped in cross section. The female sealing element further comprises a second inwardly radial sealing lip (20) which is supported on the female supporting element and is contactable with the shaft. The male sealing element (12) of the sealing assembly is nested at least partially within the female sealing element (18).
