PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate loading device by which a container accommodating a plurality of plate-like bodies laid one on another is transported, the device being configured to eliminate the need for a large equipment and to enable efficient loading of the accommodating container. SOLUTION: In the loading device, a placing base pivotally supported by a base freely rotates between a horizontal position and a predetermined inclined position, with an accommodating container placed thereon. When the placing base is in a horizontal position, the accommodating container is loaded on the loading device, and also conveyed out from the loading device.
