A ring-back tone service providing method is provided to enable a telephone service provider to offer a predetermined profit to not only a contents provider but also a user by offering an advertisement ring-back tone instead of a ring-back tone according to the method set by the user. A ring-back tone service providing method comprises the following steps of: receiving information about the use of a ring-back tone service and user information from a user; receiving information about a group of the other parties for a call when the use information is received, and then dividing the group; receiving/registering member information of the group; and then setting up an advertisement sound source of the ring-back tone service according to each group(S200).
