An electric lock includes a manual operation mechanism (5) and an electric control mechanism (6). The manual operation mechanism (5) includes a rotary knob unit (50), a first attracting member (54) mounted fixedly to the rotary knob unit (50), a key-operated lockset (55), and a lock-connecting rod (52) connected to and rotatable by the rotary knob unit (50) and the key-operated lockset (55). The electronic control mechanism (6) includes a power source unit (61), a clutch gear (64) driven by the power source unit (61) to rotate in two directions, and a second attracting member (65) mounted fixedly to the clutch gear (64). When the clutch gear (64) is driven by the power source unit (61) to rotate to align the first and second attracting members (54, 65) with each other, a magnetic attraction force is generated between the first and second attracting members (54, 65) to allow for co-rotation of the rotary knob unit (50) with the clutch gear (64).
