An air conditioner is provided to prevent foreign material accumulated in the rising of the air due to negative pressure formed at the lower center of a cyclone from being scattered again to the upper part of the cyclone by preventing the foreign material from being accumulated on the lower part of the cyclone. An air conditioner comprises a filter, a filter cleaning unit, a suction generation unit, a cyclone separator, a foreign material collection container(90), and a guide unit(79). The filter is installed to filter foreign material in the air sucked into the air conditioner. The filter cleaning unit cleans the foreign material filtered in the filter along the filter. The suction generation unit sucks the foreign material cleaned with the filter and moves the foreign material. The cyclone separator is connected to the filter cleaning unit and centrifuges the foreign material moved with the suction generation unit. The foreign material collection container is connected to the cyclone separator and contains the foreign material separated from the cyclone separator. The guide part induces the foreign material separated from the air to the foreign material collection container. |
