PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a curved section of a tunnel, which enables the curved section of the tunnel to be efficiently and economically constructed by using a normal RC segment, without the performance of special reinforcing measures. SOLUTION: The curved section of the tunnel is constructed in such a manner that a shield machine 11 is advanced by using a plurality of segment rings 1 as a reaction retainer for a jacking jack 12, while the plurality of segment rings 1 are installed in the tail part of the shield machine 11 in such a manner as to be sequentially joined to it. A plurality of pieces of prestressing concrete (PC) steel 2 are installed inside the curved section of the tunnel in such a manner as to straddle the plurality of segment rings 1 and 1, along the inside of the respective segment rings 1. Prestress is introduced in the axial direction of the tunnel by means of the prestressing concrete steel 2.
