Described herein is an electric machine that can be used as alternator, which comprises a plurality of windings appropriately sized and appropriately connected to one another, as well as purposely provided drawing points already pre-arranged for connecting three-phase and/or single-phase loads, from which all the power and/or a fraction of the power of the alternator itself is drawn. Said alternator is able to supply a three-phase load, supplying thereto up to all the power and/or being able to supply simultaneously two single-phase loads, supplying to a first single-phase load a power lower than or equal to 2/3 of the power of the alternator itself, and to a second single-phase load a power lower than or equal to 1/3 of the power of the alternator. The sum of the power absorbed at any given moment by all the loads connected is lower than or equal to the power supplied by the alternator itself.
