The present invention pertains to method for providing authorization to use corrections provided by a differential GPS base station (102), comprising:
providing an access list to the differential GPS base station (102);
broadcasting the access list from the differential GPS base station (102); and
broadcasting a differential GPS correction signal from the differential GPS base station (102),
wherein the differential GPS correction signal is applied by a mobile differential GPS receiver (106) when the mobile differential GPS receiver (106) receives the access list and the mobile differential GPS receiver (106) determines that the access list authorizes the mobile differential GPS receiver (106) to apply the differential GPS correction signal.
