AIR-CONDITIONER AND THE CONTROL METHOD

An air-conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to control the flow direction of the air according to an occupant's location in cooling and heating by controlling a louver to change the flow direction of the air. An air-conditioner comprises a louver driving unit(70), a scanning sensor unit(50), and a control unit(60). The louver driving unit operates a louver controlling the flow direction of the ventilated air. The scanning sensor unit collects position data of occupant location. The control unit controls the louver driving unit to control the flow direction of the ventilated air based on the location data.
