<p>The system (40) has a drive (44) transferring a driving torque over n: 1 ratio of a supporting unit i.e. wire, on a lift cabin (4). A counter weight (6) and a guide roller (50) are provided on the lift cabin, and another guide roller (52) is arranged transverse to the counter weight. A ratio of the diameter of one of the guide rollers is 30:1 or smaller to thickness of the supporting unit perpendicular to an axis of a driven sheave. A prime mover with the driven sheave and a diverting sheave are arranged in a machine room (10). An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a lift system.</p> |
