A testing device in a digital reactor protection system and a method thereof are provided to increase the efficiency of digital reactor safeguard system by performing a trip function continuously without a detour of a channel. An ATIP(Automatic Test and Interface Processor)(110) transmit a test initiation signal including a test value to a BP(Bistable Processor)(140) and a CP(Coincidence Processor)(150). An interface unit(120) receives a first test result value corresponding to the test value from the BP, and receives a second test result value corresponding to the test value from the CP. A controller(130) supplies a analyzed result to a COM(Cabinet Operator Module)(160) by outputting the analysis result of the BP and the CP based on the first and the second test value.
