PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether or not stopping of an engine is caused by an idling stop state even when a travel standby time becomes long. SOLUTION: This economical drive evaluation device is provided for evaluating economical drive of a vehicle based on information on an idling stop, and generates accurate idling stop information by determining whether or not the stopping of the engine up to restarting the engine is caused by the idling stop based on a shift position and one's own vehicle position when restarting the engine, when time up to restarting the engine is longer than a preset time.
