The cover has slots (13) formed on a lower side (12) of the cover. The slots align ends of cable cores to insulation displacement connections. Guide grooves (14) are formed in an upper side (11) for each cable core. Each groove opens out in guide recesses (15), which run from the upper side to the lower side to guide the ends of the cable cores to the slots. The recesses run perpendicular to the grooves and extend between the lower and upper sides of the cover.
