A method for sharing a rights object between devices is provided to limit the sharing of a right object for contents properly by copying the copyright for the contents from a first device to a second device. A method for sharing a right object between devices comprises the steps of: judging whether or not the sharing of a right object with another terminal is enabled based on the limitation included in the right object received from a server(S120), wherein the limitation includes a transmission limit parameter and a time value parameter for the sharing with another terminal; transmitting a sharing request message including the right object to another terminal when the sharing is possible(S150); and updating the right object when the another terminal completes the installation of the right object(S170).
