<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical authenticity judgment article having a high effect for preventing forgery and excellent security property. <P>SOLUTION: The authenticity judgment article 1 is to be used for a certification medium and comprises minute triangular prisms 3 made of a transparent material in an almost straight line form arranged in parallel to one another on the surface of a substrate 2. One face of the triangular prism 3 is in contact with the substrate surface, while an optical grating structure 3d is formed on a common face in one of the faces exposing to the space. The optical grating structure 3d may be formed periodically or with a fixed probability frequency on the common face of one of the faces exposing to the space, or may be formed periodically or with a fixed probability frequency on both faces.
