A muffler and a vacuum pump including the same are provided to reduce the operation noise more effectively and to facilitate the manufacture and maintenance. A muffler(200) comprises a body part(210) in which inflow and outflow paths of waste water are formed, an outer case(220) of cylindrical shape combined on the top of the body part, a coupler(250) whose one end is connected to the outlet side of the vacuum pump and the other is connected to the inlet side of the body part in order to guide waste water from the outlet side of the vacuum pump to the inlet side of the body portion, and a bellows pipe(260) combined on one side of the body part to reduce irregular flow and noise of the waste water.
