The transducer (1) has a diaphragm pot (2) with a circular wall (3), and a transducer unit (10) for generating ultrasonic vibrations. The transducer unit is attached in the diaphragm pot at a transducer section (8) at an inner side of a diaphragm (7). A damping unit (12) for damping the diaphragm is arranged in the pot. Another damping unit (13) is provided for damping vibrations of the wall, and is arranged in the pot in an edge section (9) of the diaphragm. The damping unit (13) is connected with the edge section and with an inner side of the wall in a force-fitting manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an ultrasonic transducer. |
