The system has a power socket (16) connectable and disconnectable in a remote controlled manner, at which an audio device (20) i.e. radio, or a video device (27) i.e. TV set, is attached, where the audio device or the video device is controllable via infrared (IR)-signal. An installation device (1) has an IR transmitter (9) and a memory unit (3) that is communicated with a controller unit (2). The audio device or the video device attached at the power socket is activated in a desired, memorized manner via a stored and released signal.
