<p>The betatron (1) has a round plate (3a, 3d) arranged between symmetric inner yoke parts (2a, 2b), where the plate is arranged so that longitudinal axis coincides with a rotational symmetry axis of the inner yoke. The parts are connected by an outer yoke (4) and a main field coil (6a, 6b) is provided. A torus-shaped betatron tube (5) is arranged between the parts and a tune coil in the area of the plate. Control electronics is provided for controlling a current flow by the tune coil during an injection phase of electrons into the betatron tube.</p> |
