A thigh stem and a method for manufacturing a surgical operation instrument are provided, which can revise the leg length of a patient and location of the caput femoris. A thigh stem manufacturing method for the customized artificial hip joint comprises: a design variable extraction step(S1) for extracting the design variable from femur topology data of a patient; a body selection step(S2) for selecting the body design fitting for the property of the patient; and a head design step(S3) for designing the head by using the design variable extracted from the design variable.
