A swing butterfly damper is provided to cut off the supply of a fluid or gas, to prevent the backflow of a fluid or gas, to control the quantity of flow and to fulfill a bypass function by forming on a pipeline where a fluid or gas having heat circulates to maintain air-tightness or water-tightness. A swing butterfly damper comprises a tubular main body coupled to the inner circumference of a pipeline where a fluid or gas having heat circulates to form a passage to make a fluid or gas circulate through the passage and provided with a sheet(114) on one side of the circumference, a flow control unit provided with a shaft(122) coupled to the inside of the main body to be rotatable and a blade(121) connected with the shaft to rotate and to abut on or separate from the sheet of the main body to be opened and closed to cut off the supply of a fluid or gas, to prevent the backflow of a fluid or gas, to control the quantity of flow and to fulfill a bypass function, and a driving device installed to one side of the main body to provide driving force for rotating the shaft of the flow control unit.
