An apparatus for displaying the absence of an officer is provided to be installed conveniently and to exchange its components with other components simply in the case of the failure. An apparatus for displaying the absence of an officer comprises plural transmitters(10), a main relay(20), plural relays(21,22), plural transceivers(30) and plural display units(40). The plural transmitters modify and transmit intrinsic address data to the main relay, and the main relay transmits data to each relay by judging whether or not the packets transmitted from the transmitters are larger than the packet of the may relay. The plural relays exchange data between relays by receiving data from the main relay, and transmit data to plural transceivers and display units.
