APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANTI-THEFT OF AUTOMOBILE

A car theft prevention system and a method thereof are provided to prevent car theft with cheap cost and prevent EMS program from being changed even in case of changing encryption algorithm. A car theft prevention method comprises following steps. TP IDE' which is the different identifier information with the identifier of a transponder is requested and is received from an ECU(440). The TP IDE which is the identifier information of transponder is received from transponder which is the identifier information of the transponder from the transponder. In case TP IDE received from the transponder is the same with TP IDE of the transponder of the transponder set up in advance. In case of having response, the engine of a vehicle is started.
