A construction method of a bikeway installed safely to a roadway and the structure thereof are provided to keep a bikeway not to be interrupted, to make bicycles pass through without hindrance to a stopping vehicle or loaded cargo, and to let bicycles pass through safely from over-speeding vehicles. A construction method of a bikeway installed safely to a roadway comprises the steps of moving a sidewalk-side boundary stone(30) demarcating between the existing roadway(10) and a sidewalk(20) toward the inside of a sidewalk as much as the appointed distance, pulling out a portion of the moved sidewalk-side boundary stone and appointing as a roadway-side boundary stone(32), and moving to a roadway which becomes the width of a bikeway from the sidewalk-side boundary stone and installing at regular intervals, installing a boundary stone substitute member(40) to the space where the sidewalk-side boundary stone is pulled out, and leveling a path formed between the roadway-side boundary stone and the sidewalk-side boundary stone or the boundary stone substitute member. |
