An agent for measuring seed vitality and measuring method using the same are provided to exactly examine the vitality of seed using a computer. A method for measuring the vitality of seed comprises: a step of mixing 50 to 150mug/mL of resazurin with 1 to 4mg/mL of yeast in distilled water; a step of dipping a seed in an agent for measuring seed vitality; and a step of determining the color change of the agent from blue to red; a step of measuring optical density and scanning with a multiplate reader; and a step of analyzing the color intensity of scan image.
