An STB(Set Top Box) actuator and an STB operating method are provided for entities to offer unavailable services which can not be used if improved multimedia communication application is provided by using personal data which are on the permanent duty in an STB. A unit for establishing one or more profiles(400) is included. Each profile comprises personal information and individual inclination. One or more of the personal information and the individual inclination is used for the operation of service application or communications application according to the service application or the communications application. A unit for managing one or more profiles is included. The administration comprises one or more of the production and editing of one or more profiles.
