The invention relates to devices for retardation of drive of scraper conveyor or plough installation at tightening and control of length of traction body when force of tension of traction body is formed with electric motor of the drive. Disc brake of drive of scraper conveyor or plough installation consists of body, screw with handle installed in the body by means of spherical hinge without possibility of shift of the screw in long direction. The nut is placed on the screw and is hinged to con-rods. The levers are installed in the body with possibility of turn. Brake shoes are hinged to one ends of the levers, and with the other ends of the levers con-rods are connected. Brake disc is placed between the brake shoes coaxially with inlet shaft of the reducer. Axis of rotation of the screw is placed in plane normal to axis of rotation of brake disc. The solution provides operation of joint “screw-nut” without affecting it with bending moment, possibility of simultaneous installation of electric motor of drive of scraper conveyor of plough installation and disc brake at the side of input shaft of reducer without additional reducer adapter.
