A PERVASIVE P3P-BASED NEGOTIATION METHOD FOR PRIVACY-AWARE PERVASIVE SYSTEMS

A method for negotiating a privacy policy based on pervasive P3P(Platform for Privacy Preferences) for privacy-aware pervasive system is provided to increase probability of search match by decreasing a gap between information requested from a service provider and personal information approved from the user. Contextual information of a user is received from a contextual information detector and is assigned to a user agent(S302). The user agent generates a dynamic privacy policy file of the user by discriminating the contextual information of the user(S304). The dynamic privacy policy file of the user is transmitted to the service agent(S306). The service agent makes a P3P proposal of a service provider by considering a privacy policy of the user. An URI(Uniform Resource Identifier) address is transmitted to a user agent(S308). The user agent evaluates the P3P proposal of the service provider based on a negotiation algorithm by visiting the received URI address and determine next action(S310).
