A self-operating parking system using a long span beam is provided to cut down the cost of construction by shortening a period of construction, to improve economical efficiency by increasing the number of cars parked and the utilization of space compared with the existing parking system, and to be advantageous to the traffic in a parking system and to increase the convenience of use. A self-operating parking system(1a) using a long span beam is formed by installing a long span beam(20) with a variable cross section between an outer column(10) and an adjacent outer column, wherein the long span beam is formed to have a variable cross section which the height of a central part(24) located in a vehicle passing space(D) is higher than two ends(22) located in a parking space of the parking system, and each end of two ends located in the parking space and two ends of the central part located in the vehicle passage space are joined by welding or coupled and fixed by a high-tension bolt.
