A polymerizable composition which comprises a norbornene monomer, a metathesis polymerization catalyst, and a nonpolar radical generator and can give a crosslinkable resin suitable for use as an electrical material, etc. in electric circuit boards. The polymerizable composition is applied to or infiltrated into a support and polymerized by bulk polymerization to obtain a crosslinkable resin composite. This composite is crosslinked to obtain a crosslinked resin composite excellent in electrical insulating properties, adhesion, mechanical strength, heat resistance, dielectric properties, etc. The generator is a compound which has a dipole moment of 0.5 or less and can generate a radical upon heating to initiate a crosslinking reaction.
