The structure has a casing (1) provided with fixation tabs (2, 3) that are arranged symmetrically with respect to a symmetric plane (P) passing via an axis of a rotor, where the tab (3) is hollow, and the structure is partially made of rigid cellular material (4) i.e. metallic foam. The rotor and a stator are housed in the casing. The metallic foam is obtained during casting of a piece by introduction of air in metal e.g. stainless steel such as 3004 stainless steel.
