POROUS BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER IMPLANTS FOR MENISCAL TRANSPLANTATION

A porous biodegradable polymer transplant for the semilunar cartilage substitution is provided to allow semilunar cartilage to be regenerated effectively and to protect joint cartilage. A porous biodegradable polymer transplant for the semilunar cartilage substitution comprises a porous biodegradable polymer support of semilunar cartilage shape; and the homo-synovium cell disseminated in the support. The porous biodegradable polymer support is polycaprolactone. The porous biodegradable polymer support has a pore size of 100-150 micrometers, a porosity of 80-95%, a compressive strength of 380-460 kPa and a seam strength of 2.0-2.8 kg.
