METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING DATA ERROR REPORT

A method and a device for performing data error report are provided to set a part of all of sync characters of a data block of error data as the first character by detecting failed FEC decoding, thereby determining error generation about a data block by circuit line decoding rules and a circuit line decoding module by the first character. A method for performing data error report comprises the following steps. If forward error correction decoding is failed, a sync character of at least one data block of error data in which decoding is failed is set as the first character. Circuit line decoding is performed about a data block including the first character and decoded data is outputted.
