A peripheral apparatus for a character selection image display for embedding illumination that realizes convenient input of a selected character is provided to comprise a display device for showing an image, as being interfaced with a computer by a USB, and to embed an illumination device and an attaching device including a clip. A peripheral apparatus(100) receives data and power by being connected with a computer through a USB connector(150). Image data of the computer, which is transmitted through the USB connector, is displayed on a display device(110). A keyboard work is performed by using an attaching device(130). When the attaching device is attached to an upper part of a keyboard, the keyboard is illuminated by using an illumination device(120). By using a button capable of turning on/off the illumination device, a surface of the keyboard is uniformly illuminated.
