#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves obtaining an elapsed time of receiving of packet, and estimating a time of receiving of packets by an obtaining unit. An average derivative, between a frequency defined by a master node and local representation of the frequency, is determined from the obtained elapsed time and estimated time by a determination unit. The average derivative is allocated to time intervals comprised in a synchronous data transmission cycle. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a downloaded computer program product comprising program code instruction for executing the method for synchronizing a slave node (2) a readable storage unit comprising instructions for synchronizing a slave node (3) a slave node. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for synchronizing a slave node (claimed) e.g. wireless audio renderer, on a master node e.g. wireless audio decoder, in a synchronous data transmission cycle in a mesh type wireless synchronous communication network. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method can synchronize the slave node in the synchronous data transmission cycle, in an expensive, simple and reliable manner. The method ensures compensation of the precision errors induced by random variation of local oscillator of the nodes of the network to minimize the guard interval between successive data packets, and increases the determination of start of time interval of the transmission cycle while avoiding the risk of collision.
