The system has an intake conduit (12) opening into a combustion chamber through an intake orifice and provided with a helical section (20) designed in such a manner that gas is flowed into the chamber based on a swirl movement of a main vertical axis (B) centered on the intake conduit. The intake conduit includes a downstream section (26) connecting the helical section to the intake orifice and forming a deviation ramp for modifying orientation of the gas flow coming out through the orifice with respect to orientation of the gas flow coming out from the helical section.
