A broadcast signal processing method for removing an unnecessary process and increasing the channel converting speed of a broadcasting receiver is provided to reduce the unnecessary process without filtering the information about a data service. Discrimination information and attribute information of each element stream are extracted from a system information table. The inputted stream transmits the information for data service with reference to 'the identifying information and descriptive data of the extracted each elementary stream(605). If the information is transmitted, filtering is not performed(606). The inputted stream transmits the information for the audio/video service. |
