The device has a solid carrier element (1a) directly or indirectly maintaining a bait or a flexible lure (7) in the form of a fish. The element has an upper part including a surface set back from a non-spherical lower part for permitting rotation of the element during encountering an obstacle (8), when the element is pulled by a flexible thread. The lower part is sufficiently large for avoiding tilting on a side of the element, when the element is positioned on a flat ground. A metallic element is assembled with the carrier element, and connected to a fishing line (5).
