The device has a hook (7) integrated to a lateral finishing part (1) and engaged through an opening of a support part. The hook authorizes translation displacement of the part (1) to a desired adjustment position of the part (1). A locking element (8) e.g. staple, is integrated to the part (1) and remote from the hook. The element is engaged through an orifice (13) of the support part by tilting the part (1) for blocking the part (1) at the support part through exertion of maintaining force on the hook. The force maintains a free end (7a) of the hook on an internal face of the support part. An independent claim is also included for a method for blind mounting of a piece to a support part of a body structure of a vehicle.
