<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic scanning type radar system which individually uses a correlation matrix in the past and detects the direction of arrival of a received wave with high accuracy with a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic scanning type radar system has a transmitting part which transmits a transmission wave, a receiving part which receives a reflected wave from a target, a beat signal generating part which generates a beat signal from a transmitted wave/reflected wave, a frequency resolution processing part which subjects the beat signal to frequency resolution so as to find complex data, a target detecting part which detects the target from a strength value of a beat frequency, a correlation matrix calculating part which calculates the correlation matrix from the complex data of the beat frequency wherefrom the target is detected, a target coupling processing part which correlates the targets in the present and past detection cycles by a distance-relative velocity, a correlation matrix filter part which generates a mean correlation matrix from the weighted mean of the correlation matrix of the target of the present detection cycle and that of the target of the past detection cycle related to the present one, and an azimuth detecting part which determines the direction of arrival of the received wave from the mean correlation matrix. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
