PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burdens on an examiner in measuring IMT and to reduce the measuring time in the carotid artery ultrasonic examination. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an ultrasonic transmission/receiving part, a tomographic image processing part, a display part, a heartbeat information acquisition part, a storage part, and a control part. In the live state, a tomographic image created based on an ultrasonic echo signal received from a subject is displayed in the display part, and the tomographic image and the information on the heartbeat are stored in the storage part.
