PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a large-scale content distribution system without centrally controlling content by a server. SOLUTION: In a service providing system where a client 101, a service gateway 103, and the server 106 are connected to each other through networks 102, 105, the client 101 sends a message to the server 106 by way of the service gateway 103. The service gateway 103 inquires a processing method of the message from the client 101 of the server 106 by a message including a part of the message content. The server 106 replies to the inquiry of the processing method from the service gateway 103 with a program that describes the processing method, and the service gateway 103 processes the message from the client 101 on the basis of the received processing method.
