PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sound proofing material having precise effect on reduction of noise caused by a compressor. SOLUTION: A side part sound proofing material has a sound absorption layer 11A at an inside and a single or multiple layer sound insulation layer 12A wound along a structure body of the compressor. A joint part of the sound absorption layer is abutted. Height in a vertical direction is defined as distance from a bottom surface to an upper surface of the compressor 1. A joint part of the sound insulation layer 12A is overlapped. Height in the verbal direction extends from the bottom surface to the upper surface of the compressor 1. The sound absorption layer 11A and the sound insulation layer 12A of the upper part sound proofing material are arranged to be stored inside. The sound absorption layer 11A of the side part sound proofing material, end parts 11Aa, 11ab of the sound absorption layer 11A of the upper part sound proofing material are constructed not to be exposed to an outside.
