<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for properly testing a virus detection device. <P>SOLUTION: A testing device 900 tests a communication control device 10 functioning as a virus detection device which detects and filters computer virus. The testing device 900 includes: an output part 904 which outputs data to the communication control device 10; a storage part 950 which stores the data output to the communication control device 10 and the data outputted from the communication control device 10 in association with each other; an input part 906 for inputting the data outputted from the communication control device 10; a testing part 908 for testing whether not the communication control device 10 is normally operating; and an updating part 952 for updating the data stored in the storage part 950 according to the update of the database.
